RFID Quality Manager

The RFID Quality Manager is the guardian of product integrity and process excellence across the division. You will oversee the full quality lifecycle—from supplier performance and internal production to customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of technical interpretation, systematic auditing, and proactive problem-solving to ensure our RFID solutions meet the highest industry standards.


Core Responsibilities

  1. Issues Management & Investigation (SCAR/DMR)
  • Supplier Quality: Log supplier SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports), monitor performance trends, and conduct root-cause investigations.
  • Internal Quality: Manage the internal DMR (Discrepant Material Report) process, identifying production anomalies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Customer Advocacy: Log and investigate customer complaints, drafting detailed resolution reports to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Process Control: Create and update detailed process instructions and Quality Alert Notices to maintain floor-level awareness.
  • Certification: Sign and approve Certificates of Conformance (CoC) for customer shipments.
  • Inspections: Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate new product runs against customer specifications.
  1. Auditing & Continuous Improvement
  • Internal Audits: Conduct regular audits across the division to ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • System Optimization: Identify gaps in quality control and lead continuous improvement initiatives to lean out processes and reduce waste.
  • Reporting: Collate test data into high-level quality reports for the management team, highlighting anomalies and trends.
  1. Technical Oversight
  • Calibration: Ensure all RFID test equipment and measurement tools are calibrated and function within specified parameters.
  • Data Analysis: Interpret technical RFID performance data to ensure hardware and encoding meet strict reliability benchmarks.

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • Technical Background: Proven experience as a Quality Technician or Inspector,
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze technical information and solve complex problems using critical thinking.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) for data tracking and reporting.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of visual awareness and a Quality mentality.
  • Organization: Advanced planning skills with the ability to manage multiple investigation streams (Supplier, Internal, and Customer) simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; must be able to translate technical failures into clear, actionable reports.
