Shipping Clerk

Location: Sebring, OH

Job Description: 

MPI Label Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with shipping procedures and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and package finished products for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Accurately pick and verify orders using packing lists and shipping documents.
• Create and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight companies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and inventory movement.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift or pallet jack as needed.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet quality standards and are properly secured.
• Communicate with internal departments (production, customer service, etc.) to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
   

Qualifications & Skills – Possess core skills consisting of:

• Experience: Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of shipping software, label printers, and inventory systems is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to verify order accuracy and follow shipping instructions precisely.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment.
• Teamwork & Communication: Strong ability to work with others and communicate effectively.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Experience with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight).
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
