Sales Territory – Midwest

Job Description: The Account Manager is responsible for developing new business, maintaining long-term client relationships, meeting and exceeding goals, and contributing to the overall success of the company. The position requires the ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and present solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a successful sales track record and possess a style that promotes trust and respect among our employees and clients. This is an outside sales position that requires being in the field each week meeting with prospects and assigned customers. A monthly car allowance and business mileage are provided for travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the General Manager and the National Sales Manager to develop realistic and achievable goals
  • Identify potential sales opportunities through prospecting (cold-calling) activities – via letters, emails, or face-to-face
  • Develop and implement customer presentations for individuals and groups
  • Consults with Account Service regarding accounts, prospects, quotes, and orders
  • Provides follow-up on sales opportunities promptly
  • Successfully promote and sell company products utilizing proper sales techniques
  • Maximize sales within the territory to meet and exceed sales objectives
  • Travel as required to develop business opportunities
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Provide sales reporting data by preparing quarterly forecasts and weekly reports detailing activity

Requirements – Possess core skills consisting of:

  • 2-3 years outside B2B sales experience (package printing knowledge and experience preferred)
  • Possess strong persuasive skills with the ability to close sales
  • Highly self-driven, organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Effectively communicate, build relationships, and develop trust
  • Solicits feedback, listens to and comprehends the needs of all parties involved in a sales transaction (customers, operations, senior leadership, etc.), and uses that knowledge to provide innovative packaging solutions
