Labeling System Service Technician

Job Summary: Join our growing team! MPI Label Systems is seeking a Labeling System Service Technician to support the setup, training, installation, and maintenance of labeling and thermal transfer print/apply systems—including RFID technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, train, troubleshoot, and maintain labeling systems.
  • Provide remote and on-site customer support.
  • Perform in-house repairs and follow-up training.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Monitor inventory of parts and materials needed for service tasks.

Team & Customer  Interaction:

  • Maintain technical proficiency across our product lines.
  • Work closely with the Technical Services Manager, General Manager, and Sales Team.
  • Support sales reps in evaluating customer needs and troubleshooting.
  •  Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support.

Travel & Flexibility:

  • Occasional travel to customer sites is required.
  • Overnight travel as needed.
  • Must provide own transportation (car allowance + mileage reimbursement).
  • Ability to cover travel expenses (reimbursed weekly).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects.
  • Comfortable with mechanical tasks.
  • Helpful but not required to be experienced in any of the following areas:
    • Packaging or labeling systems, systems integration
    • Computer repair, Windows, MS Office, Google Workspace
    • RFID technology
    • DC electrical systems, & AC single- and three-phase electric
    • Software programming 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
