Job Description: The operation of a Mark Andy (or similar) Flexographic printing press. The operator will posses a combination of knowledge, skill, and abilities to carry out work activities related to the operation of the flexographic printing press.

Operate a flexographic printing press for weekend shift.
Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. 36 hours worked (paid for 40 hours).

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of the primary components, principle functions, and purposes of the flexographic press systems including: unwind, in-feed, inking, drying / uv curing, laminating, die-cutting, waste removal, rewind / conveyor.
  • General make-ready procedures
  • Color theory, Anilox Rolls
  • Impression-related printing problems
  • Specifications and characteristics of Anilox Rolls

Requirements:

  • Professional, ambitious, quality-minded, self-starter, common sense with reasoning ability.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in all aspects in the operation of narrow web flexographic printing presses
  • Ability to understand and print process color
  • Ability to mix ink and match colors
  • Ability to work unsupervised
